We purchase birds from local breeders here in Phoenix, or in the state of Arizona. Many of which we have had very long relationships with. We know that, year after year, we can expect their birds to be of exceptional quality. We do not ship birds in from out of state, and we won't do business with large wholesale breeders or those who force their birds to breed outside of their natural breeding season.
Some years are better breeding seasons than others. With this in mind, the availability of any species may change from year to year. Some years, the market is flooded with cockatiels; other years, we see half as many as the year before. This is nature, and there's nothing we can do about it. Some species, like the Ringneck Parakeet, breed only in the spring and do not normally double-clutch. Once they sell out, you won't see them again until the following year. You can find more detailed information on the Ringneck Parakeet page above.
