Ringneck Parakeets breed once each year in the spring. We refer to them as a "one and done" species. They don't typically double clutch, and if they lose a clutch, they won't breed again. Once the spring babies are sold out, you won't see them again until the following year. Some pairs naturally breed later than others, so you might find babies as late as June, but it's not common. If you find a baby Ringneck for sale in October, chances are the breeder has forced the pair to breed out of season. Waiting to purchase until the spring will help you get a higher-quality pet.
