Ongoing Tropic Zone Adoption Event
A dear friend of ours has had a change of life and we’ve taken in several of their birds. In order to make this transition as stress free as possible, we’ve decided to do an adoption event and place them as soon as possible. Due to the unfortunate situation, we don't know the age or sex of many of the birds.
We want to ensure that potential adoptees are the best fit for the bird, so we will not do same day adoptions. Previously we required multiple visits over the course of two weeks. For this event we are requesting two visits and an interview with a Tropic Zone employee. Please keep in mind that we are looking out for the best interest of the bird. If multiple visits aren’t convenient, or it’s too far to drive, then you may not be the best fit for the bird.
There are several cockatoos, amazons, and some smaller birds like cockatiels. The cockatoos are not for first time bird owners. Birds available for adoption may have behavioral quirks such as aggression, biting, screaming, or the use of foul language, and many times these behaviors do not appear until after the bird leaves the store and returns to a quieter home environment. We make every effort to notify you of behaviors we know about, but Tropic Zone takes no responsibility for behaviors that appear after the bird leaves the store.
Each bird has been vet checked and there is an associated fee. Please visit the store for more information.
